Best of 2003 South American Restaurant [Full Review]
Competition has become tough in these parts for Argentine Steak Houses. There are just so darn many of them. Thats why its the ones that stay tender like Argentango Grill that wins out. But juicy marinated steaks and grilled sausages arent the only reasons this place rules the Latin roost. Argentango also presents delicious South American and Italian options ranging from excellent empanadas to superior pastas, Tangy Shrimp Cerviche to succulent Caprese salad, and grilled Sea Bass to Caesar salad. The result is that you feel neither energetic nor sexy enough to follow a meal with what the name of the restaurant implies, but at least your palate will be dancing in delight.
Best of 2003 French Fries [Full Review]
Argentango Grill, the best of the bunch there, offers 2 kinds of French Fries: Regular and Provanzal. Argentangos insistence on providing a full plate setting for a mere side order of Fries make the extra couple of bucks a worthwhile investment.

Since it opened last July, Argentango Grill has challenged Hollywoods Dinner Establishments with a charm every bit seductive as the nations dance for which it is named. A better view of what Argentango Grills steaks are all about comes from the classic Argentine Skirt Steak, their version of which the restaurant calls The Longest Steak in the World. It unrolls to a foot or more in length, a firm-textured strip of meat that is very juicy and flavorful. Its easy to taste why the staff recommends it so highly.

Our Perfect Meal: Argentango Grill 1822 South Young Circle This restaurant had amazingly creamy steaks, a proper wine list, and a sweet, tangy Alfredo. Those not eating carbs can delight with no regrets from this menu. There was a fun crowd and good ambience.

More dazzling was the Gnocchi del 29 that we decided to share as a starter. The menus description potato dumplings with red tomato sauce and cheese fondue doesnt do it justice. Fluffy light dumplings were smothered with this smooth pink tomato-cheese sauce so fully incorporated that we it was difficult to distinguish separate ingredients, so we didnt bother to analyze it, but like a good trashy novel, simply savored the whole. The gastronomic pleasure was repeated with a dinner order of Fettuccini Basilica.
Perhaps the Provanzal French Fries were the most robust, Sautéed in olive oil, garlic, parsley salt and white wine these zesty fries are capable of attracting attention away from what Argentine restaurants of which Argentango Grill is no exception pride themselves on most, their grilled beef. And rightly so. The Skirt Steak here is a massive yet tender thing folded and curled in on itself, on a plate, like a cat in a small sunny space. Add a little of an unusually and vibrant Chimmichurri sauce and the rich meaty flavors combine with the sharpness of vinegar and garlic are capable of converting a vegetarian.

Ivan states: We can keep the prices low because we are buying for so many restaurants. We pass the savings on to the customers.

No wonder the lines were out the door on a recent Saturday night. The stylish Argentine Grill on Hollywoods Young Circle, which opened in early July offers a fine dining vibe at sandwich-shop prices. For example, appetizers include Baby Black Mussels
eaten with the large crunchy spears of garlic bread, it was one of the most subtle and delicious renditions Ive tasted. The simple Caprese Salad was another winner. With a large stack of sweet red tomatoes layered between fresh, milky mozzarella dotted with aged balsamic vinegar and large leaves of basil. But meat is what expect at an Argentine grill. And here you get plenty of it. A juicy skirt steak comes folded accordion-style and juts over the plates edge. The Mixed Grill, an obscenely huge platter of working-class cuts of meats, is also hard to resist.

Robert and Ina Retzner, who publish the Best of Hollywood, a coupon mailer, also raved over the cuisine. During dinner they commented on everything from the bread to the caramel flambé dessert. The sangria seemed to elicit the most response from diners.

The decor features plain tables and low lighting; a translucent curtain hangs in the middle of the nonsmoking room, on which music videos are projected.
